Vermillion Family Pool Party
Posted on Jun 9th, 2014

Vermillion Neighbors, find your grass skirts and coconut tops because it's Pool Party Time!!!  On Saturday, June 21st, from 4-8 pm, the Vermillion HOA will be hosting a Luau themed pool party with fun for the whole family.  So dust off those leis and drag out the floral shirts, we want to see you there!
Join us for pulled pork barbecue and chicken tenders from Harvey's as well as soda, water, and juice boxes provided by the HOA...but that's not all...the sno-cone machine was such a hit last year it is making a comeback, as well as a cotton candy machine. Bring your camera and take funny pictures at our photo station, complete with cardboard cutouts and fun decorations. Feel free to bring some additional dress up/fun items (silly glasses, mustaches, hats, etc.) to wear for the staged photo area.
Plan to swim and play fun games like corn hole and bocce ball while listening to live music from Wally Germany and Dave Butler.
Special guests for the event will be The Aloha Island Hula Girls!! They will be mingling with the crowd and at 6:30pm will perform a show including several dances and costume changes. Their act is audience interactive as they will teach basic hula to the girls/ladies (while dressing them in coconut bra and sarong/pareo) and simple Tahitian moves to the boys/men. In addition to their show, they will also lead the limbo contest for the kids!!
As this is a Vermillion HOA sponsored event, admission is free...however we do request each family bring an appetizer to share based on the breakdown below. If your last name begins with:
  • A-F, please bring any 'ole appetizer (ie. chips/dip, small finger foods, etc.)
  • G-O, please bring a side dish (ie. cole slaw, potato salad, etc.)
  • P-Z, please bring a dessert
This event is BYOA. Please NO GLASS!
(The Pool will be closed from 12pm-4pm the day of the party.)
Given that our neighborhood has grown exponentially since last summer, it’s suggested to bring a chair or 2 if you have them as the pool chairs are limited in number.  If you are close enough to walk, we encourage you to do so as parking is also limited.  You may want to consider carpooling with your neighbors if you do need to drive.
If you have any questions, please email or call Daphne King: or 704-674-6694

We look forward to seeing everyone there!!
