Vermillion Townhome Rules Regarding Fire
Posted on May 25th, 2016

THIS IS FOR THE TOWNHOMES OR ANY DWELLING THE HOA INSURES.
THIS IS NOT PERTAINING TO ANY SINGLE FAMILY HOME.

At last month's Board meeting, the Board of Directors implemented a rule that was advised by our insurance company and is directly compliant with the Mecklenburg County Fire Code.  This is being done for the safety of our townhomes and the individuals that live there.  This policy is effective immediately regardless of how long something has been there or how safe you may think it is.

Vermillion HOA
Rules for Fire Safety
Adopted April 27, 2016

For the safety of our townhome and duplex units in Vermillion HOA, please note the following rules applicable to those units effective immediately.

Cigarettes should only be used where able to be immediately extinguished and not disposed of in any landscape area except in a fireproof can.

No open flame apparatus, including but not limited to, grills, fire pits, chimneys, deep fryers, lanterns, torches or any other thing that produces a flame may not be operated within 10 feet of any surface of the building or garage.  Items such as these that are stored on elevated decks (especially those with no attached stairway) will be sent violations on the assumption that they are not being carried down and used away from the buildings.

For further clarification, please also refer to the Mecklenburg County fire code.
